At Stretch Affect, we are more than just a business. We’re a community with a social identity, shared values, and a mission to awaken the potential of individuals through the power of physical literacy and movement health.
These days that may seem like a tall order, but it hasn’t always been that way. The concept of business began much like we think of the word community today. Even the word company is derived from the Latin words com, meaning together, and panis, meaning bread. Merchants would come together, share stories, eat, and do business. They were communities.
But over time, through industrial revolutions, businesses stopped looking like communities and started looking more like machines. They optimized for business growth, often at the expense of the community and the individuals within it.
At Stretch Affect, we believe that is too high a price to pay for short-lived success. We care deeply for our community and the individuals within it. Each of our community members contributes to our mission in a unique and diverse way. Whether that be a contribution of time, money, energy, or a helping hand, some contribute more than others, but no one member is greater than the sum.
Stretch Affect was born fighting an uphill battle. We began our in-person, hands-on services in the middle of the worst pandemic the world has seen. And if it were not for our commitment to our core values, our 250% growth in our first year of business would not have been possible. Our wonderful members allowed this to happen. We were given life in a grim time thanks to the unwavering support of those we cherish.
Our values will always be the bedrock of our business. How we operate, who we hire and who we work with. Because it matters who we are as a company, not just what we do as a company.
Core Values:
Trust is everything – We’re honest with our customers and each other. Trust is the cornerstone of positive relationships, and positive relationships are a cornerstone of personal growth.
Don’t do mediocre – We give everything 110% and then some. We’re obsessive about exceeding expectations and going above and beyond for you, ourselves, and each other.
Accountability is required- Personal and social responsibility are imperative. If we are not doing our part to affect change, we welcome the opportunity to course-correct and take ownership.
Believe anything is possible – We hold an unshakeable belief in possibility, and together we can make anything come to life. It doesn’t matter where you are or where you are trying to go.
Love what you do- Our business is built on love and passion for our craft. We are never done learning, growing, and enjoying every minute of it.
Act to change the world – We are committed to giving back to local and global non-profit organizations that help move the health/wellness, movement, nutrition, and active lifestyle areas forward.
These core values are behind every decision we make and every behavior we create. They aren’t just words on a page.

Untapped potential is one thing that pulls at our soul. The last thing we want is for someone to fall short of their goal because they didn’t have the knowledge or learned skill to achieve it. Information overload and a one-size-fits-all approach to health and wellness are not the answer. And inspiration and instruction are not enough on their own. This is why we exist.
Join our mission to create freedom and quality of life through the power of physical literacy and movement health. Join the Stretch Affect community. We invite you to be a part of like-minded individuals that come together to create change in a world that is so desperate for love, nurturing and support.
So, what does community mean to us? Everything.
